Chris is the manager and founder of 5th Element Fitness. Chris has over 12 years experience in the fitness industry working with a range of clients from elite sporting teams like the Fremantle Dockers to large corporate groups. His real passion though is training ordinary people and helping them achieve extraordinary things. Chris’s enthusiasm, positive attitude and philosophy of constantly learning and improving is the cornerstone behind 5th Element.
Chris has completed a Certificate IV in Fitness – Personal Training, Certificate IV in Assessment and Training, Certificate III in Fitness and is a Level 1 Athletics Australia Run Coach, Level 1 Strength & Conditioning Coach and Level 2 Touch Football Australia Coach. Chris has spent 3 years studying Sports Science and Sports Management and spent time teaching Fitness at TAFE while working as a Junior Development Manager with Touch Football Australia.
His own goals have seen Chris complete the Busselton Half Ironman, Busselton Ironman, Anaconda Adventure Race, X-Adventure Race, The Big Swim and the Spartan Obstacle Race. Chris enjoys raising funds and awareness for charities through local sporting events. These have included the Race Around Rotto for AutismWest, the Relay for Life for the Cancer Council of Western Australia and The Great Pram Push for the Children’s Leukaemia and Cancer Research Foundation.
Growing up competitively figure skating and playing multiple team sports, Brooke channeled this passion to pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics in Canada. She has been teaching in the fitness industry for 2 years and has been with 5th Element since January 2016.
Brooke has a bubbly and happy disposition and loves pushing her clients to their personal best. Her strength is high intensity interval training, weight loss and core conditioning but is a competent strength coach and boxing instructor. She believes that exercise is the key to a healthy and happy life and is motivated to help you achieve your fitness goals.
Max is the youngest of our team but is mature beyond his years and a favourite amongst our regular clients. He is currently completing a school based traineeship which will be completed at the end of 2016. Max has been with us since January 2015 and has a Certificate 2 in Sport & Recreation and is currently completing his Certificate 3 in Sports Coaching.
Max enjoys all forms of martial arts, boxing and kickboxing. He helps with classes as an assistant instructor and is learning to be a personal trainer.
Dean is a vibrant, energetic and enthusiastic member of our team with a background in strength and conditioning in the United Kingdom. Dean was a Lecturer of Sport and Fitness in London and has experience as a Strength & Conditioning coach at a number of fitness clubs and elite sporting teams across the UK, including the London Irish Rugby Club and Henley Rowing Club.
Dean has a Bachelor of Science in Sports Coaching and Performance, is a qualified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is a British Olympic Weightlifting Club Coach and Technical Official.
Dean receives satisfaction from seeing and helping others to achieve and succeed. His teaching focus is on improving lifting technique for beginners, particularly young athletes looking to improve performance. Dean has been passionate about health and fitness from a young age in England and enjoys working on his Olympic lifting, playing rugby union and following his new favourite team, the Fremantle Dockers.
Miles is our early morning wake up call with his super confident, outgoing and positive attitude. He enjoys taking all types of fitness classes, suspension classes and personal training clients.
Miles is a WAFL football player for East Fremantle, recently making his debut for the league team and has been involved in the leadership groups at colts and reserves. Miles has been playing AFL since he was 9 and his main interests are sports and human movement.
In 2015 Miles completed his Bachelor of Science, Double Degree is Sports Science, Exercise & Health. He is a qualified Strength and Conditioning Coach and Fitness Instructor. He enjoys training clients for strength and sports specific conditioning but is capable in all areas of fitness.
